The White Sox have traded Rob Mackowiak to the Padres for 23 year old righty reliever Jon Link.  Mackowiak played in 85 games this season for the White Sox and he was 66 for 237 (.278 avg, .772 OPS) with 34 runs scored, 6 homers and 36 RBIs.  The White Sox figured that they had enough outfielders so they had to make this trade to possibly help out their bullpen in the future.  Link has been pitching in A-Ball this season and he was 2-1 with 13 saves, a 3.07 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP.  He has tossed 41 innings and he has allowed only 32 hits, walked 11 batters and whiffed 45.
