The White Sox have picked up 34-year old righty reliever Jason Frasor’s option for 2012 valued at $3.75 milllion bucks. Frasor pitched in 20 games (0 starts) for the White Sox after coming over from Toronto in the Edwin Jackson deal and he was 1-2 with a 5.09 ERA and a 1.76 WHIP. He pitched in 64 games (0 starts) overall for the Blue Jays and White Sox last year and he was 3-3 with a 3.60 ERA and a 1.40 WHIP. Frasor has now pitched in 475 games (0 starts) in his first 8 years in the majors and he was 25-30 with 36 saves, a 3.74 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP. It was smart for the Pale Hose to pick up Frasor’s otpion as he is a much better pitcher than he showed them last year.
